Bojmacaliev, Kicev reaffirm commitment to preventing pressure on MoI employees

Skopje, 2 February 2024 (MIA) - Additional Deputy Minister of Interior, Mitko Bojmacaliev, met Friday with leader of the Macedonian Police Trade Union, Marjan Kicev, as well as members of the Union.  

 

Talks focused on reaffirming mutual support and commitment to implementing a fair, free and democratic election process, the Ministry of Interior (MoI) said in a press release.

 

 

Bojmacaliev pointed out that he continues duties following former Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski's principle of work. He stressed that none of the rights of the police officers under the signed Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Interior and the Macedonian Police Trade Union will be impaired. 

 

The additional Deputy Minister of Interior noted that he does not deviate from the principle of fair and dignified management of the Ministry, adding that no pressure on employees from any political party will be tolerated, otherwise appropriate legal sanctions will follow, reads the press release.

 

 

Leader of the Macedonian Police Trade Union Kicev congratulated Bojmacaliev on his new post. He voiced support for Bojmacaliev's commitment to prevent any pressure on employees. 

 

"The interlocutors reaffirmed successful cooperation so far, expressing commitment to intensify its dynamics in the future as well," the press release adds.
