Bochvarski: North Macedonia strongly committed to completing Railway Corridor 8

Skopje, 4 April 2023 (MIA) — Ways to strengthen economic cooperation and railway connections between North Macedonia and Bulgaria were discussed at the meeting between Minister of Transport and Communications Blagoj Bochvarski and Bulgarian Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications Krasimir Papukchiyski on Tuesday.
According to an official press release, Bochvarski and Papukchiyski discussed infrastructure projects being implemented at the regional level, and especially railway connections between the two countries.
Bochvarski said North Macedonia was strongly committed to the completion of the Railway Corridor 8 as part of integrating the country's transport system into the European corridors.
At the meeting, both sides pledged to intensify the work of the countries' experts for a more efficient implementation of infrastructure projects, These include the Deve Bair border crossing railway tunnel and the new Klepalo border crossing, the release says. mr/
