Shtip, 25 December 2023 (MIA) – Minister of Transport and Communications Blagoj Bochvarski during his visit to Probishtip on Monday said that the ministry had historic capital investments in the past year.

“What I can emphasize is that we have reached the highest level of capital investments historically, considering the period from 1991, the year of the country's independence, up to the present day. If last year we recorded €465 million in capital investments, this year, up to now, capital project investments stand at around €540 million. I expect this number to keep growing until the end of this year,” Bochvarski said, responding to a question from MIA about the level of capital investments this year.

He highlighted that the projects are being implemented in local communities, regional and main roads, covering all projects funded by the state.

“We are actively working on the construction of the railway line in the first two sections, where progress has been excellent. The tender for the third section t was announced a few days ago. Therefore, I anticipate a stronger year ahead, with the uninterrupted continuation of project implementation,” Bochvarski noted.
