Skopje, 26 November 2024 (MIA) – The Blazhe Koneski Faculty of Philology at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje is hosting a formal session on Tuesday to mark 80 years since the Macedonian language was declared an official language.

According to the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Philology, the opening addresses will be delivered by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Vladimir Martinovski, and the Head of the Macedonian Language Department, Prof. Dr. Iskra Panovska-Dimkova.

Prof. Dr. Dimitar Pandev will deliver a speech on "ASNOM and the Macedonian Language," while Prof. Dr. Emilija Crvenkovska will speak on "The Importance of ASNOM for the Macedonian Language and Education."

An exhibition titled "ASNOM – expression of the sovereign will of the Macedonian people to realize their right to self-determination," presented by Dr. Jasmina Damjanovska, will also be opened at the event.
