Besimi: Inflation continues to slow, new set of anti-crisis measures soon
- The level of inflation continues to decrease, from 8.3% in August it now stands at 6.6%, and has decreased threefold compared to the peak of the crisis in October when it stood at 19.8%, Finance Minister Fatmir Besimi posted Monday on Facebook.
Skopje, 9 October 2023 (MIA) - The level of inflation continues to decrease, from 8.3% in August it now stands at 6.6%, and has decreased threefold compared to the peak of the crisis in October when it stood at 19.8%, Finance Minister Fatmir Besimi posted Monday on Facebook.
Besimi adds that a new set of anti-crisis measures will also be announced soon.
"Government measures to deal with inflation are estimated at over EUR 700 million so far, and a new set of anti-crisis measures to support vulnerable categories of citizens and companies will be announced soon. Our commitment is to fully overcome global inflationary challenges and bring inflation to historic low levels of around 2 percent," Besimi notes.
