Bekteshi: Over 3,500 low-income citizens to get domestic tourism vouchers
Skopje, 29 July 2021 (MIA) – The Ministry of Economy has supplied additional Mden 23 million for tourism vouchers in the amount of Mden 12,000 for low-income citizens. Additional voucher funds were provided by the revised budget for 2021, allowing 3,500 low-income citizens to summer across North Macedonia, Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi posted Thursday on Facebook.
According to Bekteshi, 1,250 tourism vouchers, amounting to a total of Mden 15 million, have been issued so far.
“Domestic tourism vouchers will be given to eligible applicants next week. They can be used by November 30, in domestic tourism facilities that have applied to the Economy Ministry’s public call. Supporting the tourism sector is our priority,” read Bekteshi’s post.
All citizens with monthly household net income below Mden 30,000 were eligible to apply to the Economy Ministry’s public call, published on June 8.
