Skopje, 6 April 2023 (MIA) - The Democratic Union for Integration (DUI) is a democratic party that makes decisions based on majority, and every political party that presents itself as democratic should work that way. The majority and the decisions of the majority were conveyed by the party leader Ahmeti and the party spokesperson Osmani, said Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi in response to a question about the latest statement by the 'Fiery Group' that it will officially act as a faction within the party.
Given that it is a matter of issues within the party, Minister Bekteshi didn't go into more details, but he said that by a decision of the party's presidency, every member of the presidency can answer such questions.
At a press conference earlier on Thursday, the so-called 'Fiery Group' of the Democratic Union for Integration (DUI) said it will officially act as a faction within the party. Chair Mayor Visar Ganiu said their task is to be the voice of all Albanians.
"Unfortunately, we have been saying for three years now that the statute and programme of DUI are not respected. We are standing here as a faction and assume the task of being the voice of needs and requirements, not only for our electorate but of all Albanians, and this voice will not be silenced. For us, the voice of the people is everything because this is the voice of reason and this will be demonstrated in practice," said Ganiu.
