Bachovski: Payment Agency's new facility to resolve long-standing workspace issue

Skopje, 26 December 2023 (MIA) - Relevant working conditions are an essential accreditation criterion for the Payment Agency, which carries out decentralized management of IPARD funds, Payment Agency director Nikica Bachovski said Tuesday ahead of the presentation of the Agriculture Modernization Project (AMP) financed by the World Bank.

One of the components of this project, as informed by Bachovski, is the renovation and equipping of the premises of the Payment Agency, which will be adjacent to the existing facility.

“For a certain period, we have been dealing with inadequate workspace. The space provided by the government, according to the decision, is right next to us. We hope that all planned phases will be implemented soon. The first phase relates to the design of the building and offices, while the second one involves the implementation and the proper furnishing, with the assistance of the employees within the Agency. With this, the long-term issue that the Payment Agency has, including the appropriate number of employees and working conditions, which are crucial for us, will be resolved,” Bachovski underlined.

During the unveiling of the project and the tour of the Payment Agency's new facility, Minister of Agriculture, Forestry, and Water Economy, Ljupcho Nikolovski, was also present.
