Aviation activities at Krivolak as part of joint training in navigation guidance with US Armed Forces
- A joint training in navigation guidance of specialized teams from the Army of North Macedonia and the U.S. Armed Forces was carried out Monday at the Krivolak army field.
Skopje, 27 February 2023 (MIA) – A joint training in navigation guidance of specialized teams from the Army of North Macedonia and the U.S. Armed Forces was carried out Monday at the Krivolak army field.
During the activity, two military aircraft from the U.S. Air Force, through a simulation of close air support, tested the procedures in navigation guidance of land targets from air, as part of the joint air control, said the Army General Staff in a press release.
Furthermore, the specialized teams from the Army of North Macedonia and the U.S. Air Force had the opportunity to practice procedures in the field of coordination, aerial guidance, close air support and guidance of land targets from air.
Through these aviation training activities during the past year, said the press release, the ability and complete interoperability of not only the teams on the ground, but also of those involved in navigation were fully confirmed.
Joint aviation activities such as these allow us to demonstrate our interoperability in NATO tactics, techniques and procedures, and also the opportunities that the Krivolak army field can offer. Furthermore, these activities reaffirm the unity and the functioning of the collective defense system in maintaining a safe airspace of all NATO allies, reads the press release.
