Skopje, 19 August 2022 (MIA) — North Macedonia's average monthly salary in June 2022 was 10.9 percent higher than in June 2021, according to the latest figures released by the State Statistical Office. This increase was a result of raises given to employees in the hospitality industry (23.1%), arts, entertainment and recreation (17.5%), and wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (16.0%). Compared to May 2022, June 2022 salaries were higher in finance and insurance (6.0%), wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (5.7%), and mining and quarrying (4.3%). The average monthly net salary paid per employee in June 2022 was 31,869 denars (EUR 517). mr/
