Skopje, 22 October 2025 (MIA) - The average monthly net wage paid per employee in August 2025 was Mden 45,310, while the average monthly gross wage was Mden 68,180, an increase of 10.3% compared to the same month in 2024, the State Statistical Office said Wednesday.

The increase in the net wage is caused by the increase of the average monthly net wage paid per employee in the sectors: Human health and social work activities 14.6%, Education 14.5% and Administrative and support service activities 14.1%. The increase in the gross wage is caused by the increase of the average monthly gross wage paid per employee in the sectors: Human health and social work activities 14.9%, Education 14.8% and Administrative and support service activities 14.4%. 

An increase in the average monthly net wage paid per employee compared to July was recorded in the sectors: Arts, entertainment and recreation 5.2%, Accommodation and food service activities 4.7% and Mining and quarrying 4.5%. An increase in the average monthly gross wage paid per employee compared to July was recorded in the sectors: Arts, entertainment and recreation 5.3%, Accommodation and food service activities 4.8% and Mining and quarrying 4.6%.
