Skopje, 31 October 2024 (MIA) -- The Macedonian chamber trio Aura, winners of the 2023 Golden Lyre award for outstanding achievements, will give a concert as part of this year's Golden Lyre chamber music festival at the Museum of the Macedonian Struggle for Independence.
The chamber trio often performs new works commissioned from contemporary Macedonian composers as part of the trio's repertoire spanning eras and styles, organizers said.
The Aura trio consists of Strasho Temkov (flute), Ana Gaceva (piano), and Marjan Miloshevski (bassoon).
They are all faculty members at the Faculty of Music in Skopje.
The trio has given numerous solo and chamber concerts in Europe, including in Austria, Belarus, Bulgaria, France, Germany, Serbia, Slovenia, Switzerland, and the UK. They have also performed in North America, Asia and Africa, to great critical acclaim.
According to organizers, their "highly aesthetic chamber music performances feature a heightened sense of expressiveness, musical symbiosis and completeness of sound and expression."
The Golden Lyre chamber music festival is organized by the Association of Music Artists in Macedonia. mr/
