Appellate Court cancels house arrest for two suspects in ‘M-NAV’ case, precautionary measures to remain in place

Skopje, 26 January 2024 (MIA) – The Skopje-based Appellate Court accepted the appeals of Bekim Neziri and Almir Ramdedovikj, suspects in the “M-NAV” case, and ruled to cancel the measure of “house arrest” while upholding the existing precautionary measures.

In a press release over the ruling, the Court said no evidence was submitted that pointed to a real danger of the suspects escaping or obstructing the proceedings by influencing witnesses or collaborators, nor indications that the suspects could repeat their crime.

“When making the decision, the Court also considered the recommendations of the Higher Public Prosecutor’s Office Skopje to accept the appeals of the suspects,” said the Appellate Court.
