Skopje, 10 July 2025 (MIA) – Minister of Digital Transformation Stefan Andonovski met Thursday with the U.S. Ambassador to the country, Angela Aggeler.

The meeting focused on boosting bilateral ties in digital transformation, cyber security and technology development, Andonovski’s office said.

The main topic of discussion was the upcoming Western Balkans Digital Summit, set to be held in Skopje in Oct. 2025, which will gather senior officials from the region, international stakeholders, and representatives from the private sector.

Andonovski underscored the U.S.’s strong, continued support for Macedonia’s digital transformation and the importance of joint efforts to boost infrastructure, security, and economic development.

“This meeting marks an important step forward in our shared digital agenda. We deeply value the partnership with the United States, which is essential to advancing reforms and shaping an inclusive, sustainable digital economy,” Andonovski noted.

The Government of the Republic of Macedonia remains committed to digitalization as a strategic priority, and the partnership with the United States continues to be a key driver of progress in this sector, the Ministry of Digital Transformation said in a press release.
