Skopje, 17 September 2022 (MIA) - The Alliance for the Albanians is to hold a session of the party’s Central Assembly on Saturday to accept the resignation of party leader Zijadin Sela. Moreover, new acting president of the party is to be elected at the Central Assembly’s session. On August 21, Zijadin Sela offered irrevocable resignation as Alliance for the Albanians leader due to poor results at the municipal elections for members of the Tetovo municipal Council. The Alliance for the Albanians started to form in 2015, when Zijadin Sela as member of DPA at the time launched a movement for reforms in DPA. The party was then formed under the name Alliance for Albanians. On March 27, 2022, at the party’s second congress, Zijadin Sela was re-elected as party leader.
