Skopje, 25 October 2022 (MIA) — Albania’s role in regional cooperation, strengthening of cooperation in the Western Balkans, and protecting Albanian spiritual heritage were some topics that acting president of the Alliance for Albanians Arben Taravari and Albania’s President Bajram Begaj talked about at a meeting Tuesday. Acording to a press release from the Alliance for Albanians, the meeting confirmed the friendly relations between the two countries and their committment to strengthen them further. Taravari was accompanied by party members Isen Shabani, Vrapchishte Mayor; and Members of Parliament Artina Qazimi, Abdulla Saliu and Syrija Rashidi. “Congratulating him on his election, I thanked President Begaj for Albania's irreplaceable role in regional cooperation, including exemplary solidarity with neighbors on our common path to the European Union. I congratulated him on his leadership of the Republic of Albania at the international level, which was proven by the EU-Western Balkans Summit organized on Dec. 6, a historic event for Tirana and the entire region,” Taravari is cited as saying in the release. mr/
