Skopje, 9 August 2021 (MIA) - Out of 4,000 domestic tourism vouchers, 2,500 have been issued so far, and the rest should be handed out to the citizens by the end of this week, Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi said on Monday. “I had contacted the relevant institutions so that we could issue all the vouchers during this week. Given that 2,500 vouchers were already issued before scheduling the local elections, the procedure will continue. Payment from the Ministry of Economy to the hotel facilities is not made immediately, but it is envisaged in the budget and it will be made at the moment when the vouchers will be used. By the end of this week, we will issue all domestic tourism vouchers, and by the end of the year we have the right to make all payments in hotel facilities,” Bekteshi said, adding that citizens show great interest in this economic measure.
