Albania registers weak earthquake, also felt in N. Macedonia
Skopje, 21 September 2021 (MIA) – A 3.6 magnitude earthquake that jolted Albania was also felt in southwestern North Macedonia.
The country’s seismological network, comprised of stations in Skopje, Valandovo, Ohrid, Shtip and Pehchevo, registered an earthquake at 4:04 pm, whose epicenter was in Albania, 140 kilometers southwest of Skopje.
“The earthquake measured 3.6 on the Richter scale and was felt by people in the country, especially in the southwest. According to the European macroseismic scale, it had 3-level intensity,” said the seismological observatory in Skopje.
