AJM, IREX and MRTV in joint effort to raise standards of public broadcasting service
Skopje, 25 September 2022 (MIA) – Over 30 journalists and cameramen from the public broadcasting service, including Macedonian Television 1 (MTV1), Macedonian Television 2 (MTV2) and Macedonian Radio, took part in a three-day training on raising the standards in reporting and operations, and the fight against disinformation.
The training, first of this type for the public broadcasting service employees, was organized by the International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX), supported by USAID, the Association of Journalists of Macedonia (AJM), the Macedonian Institute for Media (MIM) and the Macedonian Radio Television (MRTV).
The workshop focused on current topics in the journalists’ interest, telling stories, creating a ‘storyboard’, podcasts, along with the preparation and development of a research story. In addition, topics specifically related to the MRTV editorial offices were also covered, the AJM said in a press release.
Training participants agreed this format of events is of exceptional significance for strengthening of the journalism spirit and independence of editorial offices, expressing commitment for their continuation in the coming period.
The event took place within the USAID Media Literary Project, which is implemented by IREX, MIM, Institute of Communication Studies and Youth Educational Forum.
