AJet is operating domestic flights and international flights to Northern Cyprus, Western Europe, and Western Asia from its base at Sabiha Gökçen International Airport.

"The commencement of this new regular, or year-round route from Skopje International Airport connecting Skopje to Istanbul, operated by AJet, is a significant milestone in AJet’s expansion strategy, after taking over and launching operations from Skopje Airport to Bodrum and Antalya, in June, thus strengthening the connectivity between Türkiye and North Macedonia. Moreover, this new flight option enhances the travel opportunities between Skopje and Istanbul," said TAV Macedonia.

According to TAV Macedonia General Manager Nejat Kurt, this new travel opportunity, or this new year-round flight, also enriches TAV Macedonia's offering to travelers seeking convenient connections between Skopje and Istanbul.

AJet notes that the new route not only strengthens the ties between the two countries but also supports the goal of offering more travel options to the passengers.

"This new route not only strengthens the ties between our two countries but also supports our goal of offering more travel options to our passengers. At AJet, we remain committed to providing affordable service and continuously enhancing the travel experience for our customers,” said AJet CEO Kerem Sarp.

TAV Macedonia, a subsidiary of TAV Airports, a member of Groupe ADP, finished the first half of 2024, or the period between January–June with a total of 1,458,299 passengers at both Macedonian airports – Skopje International Airport and Ohrid St. Paul the Apostle Airport, which is a 9% increase compared to the same period in 2023.
