Air show on 100 years of Macedonian aviation

Skopje, 16 September 2023 (MIA) - An air show will take place at the Stenkovec recreational airfield near Skopje on Saturday, marking the 100th anniversary of Macedonian aviation, namely the establishment of Aeroclub Skopje in 1923.

Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski, Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic, Italian Ambassador Andrea Silvestri and Aeroclub representatives are set to address the event.

The show will include over 30 various aircraft from the country and abroad, parachutists and friends of the Aeroclub from the entire region.

Visitors will enjoy acrobatic flying and flypasts, while parachutists will fly the biggest national flag in the air, say organizers. The programme also includes formation flights of the fire-fighting Air Tractors, military and police aircraft, along with a WizzAir passenger plane.

The air forces of Serbia, Italy and Greece will be the event's special guests.
