Tetovo, 17 October 2021 (MIA) – DUI leader Ali Ahmeti expressed satisfaction from the results it achieved at Sunday’s local elections, saying the party won in the municipalities in Saraj, Lipkovo and Plasnica in the first round. Ahmeti said the party has large leads in dozen municipalities, including Tetovo, Chair, Kichevo, Struga, Zhelino, Tearce, Bogovinje, Arachinovo and Dolneni, while their candidates will take part in the runoff in Debar, Chashka, Gostivar and Vrapchishte. “I want to express satisfaction over the entire electoral process and the democratic culture, because the elections reflect the image of the country. Let me congratulate all participants in the contest. I salute the DUI members for this win, which comes after the 2020 parliamentary elections. As we have always been winners in this important process, the same goes for this process of the local self-government,” Ahmeti told the press conference.
