“Patients in more serious conditions were transferred to the clinical hospital in Shtip, while intubated patients were sent directly to the Skopje clinic, the ‘8 September’ hospital and ‘St. Naum’ [all in Skopje]. Around 70 patients were checked. Unfortunately, there were deaths as well. The patients had burns and carbon monoxide poisoning. Oxygen support was given to all patients after the checkups. Our hospital is currently treating around 20 patients with less serious symptoms, all others, more than half of arrivals have been transferred to other clinics in the country,” Serafimova said.
