Skopje, 26 May 2025 (MIA) - The Judicial Council elected Monday supreme judge Afrim Fidani as the new President of the Supreme Court of the Republic of North Macedonia.
Fidani was elected with 8 votes “in favor” and five “against”. Previous President Besa Ademi was also a candidate for the post, receiving only two votes.
The discussion among the members of the Judicial Council during the election process focused on the view that former President Besa Ademi fell short in her duties as President.
