Skopje, 3 April 2024 (MIA) — The European Front has submitted to the State Election Commission its candidate lists for MPs in all six electoral units ahead of its "Yes to Europe, No to Russia" campaign for the April 24 and May 8 elections, Arber Ademi told a press conference Wednesday.
"The European Front will compete for every vote of every citizen, regardless of their ethnicity. We strongly believe the European Front candidates will achieve the next victory, and an additional 20 MP seats," Ademi said.
The first electoral unit's list of candidates is headed by Blerim Bexheti and includes Ilir Hasani, Hatidze Topali, Naim Bajrami, Munir Kolashinac, Besarta Alija, Sheval Nuredin, Imran Velija, Drenushe Grazhdani Shurlani, and Faruk Avdiu.
The second electoral unit's list is headed by Sadula Duraku, who is followed by Skender Rexhepi Zejd, Dijana Toska, Elmi Aziri, Bastri Bajrami, Fatima Osmanovska, Berat Ajdari, Visar Durak, Flora Hajdari Musliu, Semra Karishikj.
The third electoral unit's list is headed by Sulejman Baki, and the fourth electoral unit's list is headed by Enver Husein.
The fifth electoral unit's list is headed by Zijadin Sela and includes Musa Xhaferi, Arbana Pasholi, Ismail Jahoski, Fehmi Skender, Premtime Zylali-Deliaj, Mevmed Halili, Arjeta Ala, Alen Dearovski, and Jetmir Ajredini.
The fifth electoral unit's list is headed by DUI leader Ali Ahmeti, who is followed by the first-ever member of the ethnic Albanian community in North Macedonia to have been named caretaker Prime Minister, Talat Xhaferi. Other candidates include Ilire Dauti, Menduh Thaci, Rina Ajdari, Bejdzan Iljas, Ilir Demiri, Salih Murat, Fatmire Isaku, Merita Mustafai, Arjanit Hoxha, Arta Bilalli Zendeli, Atnan Neziri, Emir Sulejmani, Artina Qazimi, Shpresa Lutfiha, Xhemile Saliji, Valon Asani, Valdet Xhaferi, and Faton Ahmeti.
The common goal of the European Front coalition, according to Ademi, is the fastest possible integration of North Macedonia into the European Union and the prevention of Russian influence on the country and the region.
"Constitutional changes, European integration, good neighborliness, an uncompromising fight against organized crime and corruption, and the economic framework agreement are our platform's keywords," Ademi said.
"We strongly believe the European Front candidates will achieve the next victory, the deepest victory ever recorded or, in a nutshell, 20 MEPs more. We have shown that this country can be led and managed very well and better by an Albanian," Ademi said.
"This was also proven by Parliament Speaker and current Prime Minister of North Macedonia Talat Xhaferi," he added.
Also, Ademi pointed out "the extraordinary diplomacy of the state when the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is headed by Bujar Osmani."
This will continue after May 8, he said, when he said Osmani would win the race for head of state.
"European Front MP candidates are persons who have proven that they carry out their duties and tasks with love, dedication and with great responsibility," Ademi said, urging voters to support the European Front and its presidential candidate Osmani.
"Let's support the 'Yes to Europe, no to Russia' cause, which has brought profound changes to the country: full membership in NATO, economic development, and a better life for all. May our progressive path succeed," Ademi said. mr/
