5,000 people visit North Macedonia’s pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai in one day
Skopje, 30 October 2021 (MIA) – 5,000 people visited North Macedonia’s pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai on Friday and learned about the cultural uniqueness, tourist attractions, rich historical heritage and ethnic diversity of the country, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press release on Saturday.
North Macedonia is taking part in the event under the mottos “A home at every turn” and “New opportunities”. The pavilion showcases terracotta, artifacts, traditional clothing, as well as promotional materials and video presentations about North Macedonia.
“Visitors from 190 countries have a unique opportunity to learn about the culture and tradition of our country, as well as its natural treasures and tourism potential. Special focus is put on opportunities for economic and trade cooperation, as well as the country’s investment and business potential, via additional information panels on free economic zones, innovation, agriculture, energy and tourism,” the press release read.
The Ministry underlined the benefits of North Macedonia’s participation in this global event, which contribute to raising the country and region’s visibility in the Near East, as well as globally, increasing the number of tourists, creating a network of business contacts and opportunities for enhancing economic cooperation with different countries and regions.
