20.4 pct increase in road passenger transport, largest in international transport: statistics
Skopje, 24 August 2022 (MIA) – A total of 11 467 thousand passengers were carried in road passenger transport in the Q2 2022, an increase of 20.4% compared to the same period last year, show State Statistical Office data.
According to the kind of transport, the number of passengers carried in urban transport increased by 10.8%, in suburban transport by 29.4%, in national transport by 58.7%, and in international transport by 62.6%.
In Q2 2022, in comparison with the same period of 2021, the total number of passenger-kilometres in road passenger transport increased by 41.0%.
Statistics show that according to the kind of transport, the number of passenger-kilometres in urban transport increased by 14.9%, while in suburban transport by 30.9%, in national transport by 52.0%, and in international transport by 43.9%. dk/nn/
