Skopje, 14 October 2022 (MIA) - A total of 190,855 tourists visited North Macedonia in August 2022, including 60.9% domestic tourists and 39.1% visitors from abroad, according to the data of the State Statistical Office.

Also, 835,016 nights spent were recorded in August 2022 - 77.7% by domestic and 22.3% by foreign tourists.

In the period January - August 2022, compared to the same period last year, the number of tourists increased by 35.1%: the number of domestic tourists increased by 4.0%, while that of foreign tourists increased by 87.8%.

In the period January - August 2022, compared to the same period last year, the number of nights spent increased by 20.1%: the number of nights spent by domestic tourists increased by 2.4%, while those by foreign tourists increased by 78.3%, said the Statistical Office.
