10th Skopje Cinema City opens with Vlatko Stefanovski exhibition

Skopje, 26 June 2024 (MIA) - "The Vlatko Stefanovski Experience", an exhibition showcasing concert photographs and archival documents, will open Wednesday this year's 10th edition of Skopje Cinema City Festival.

"The Vlatko Stefanovski Experience is part of Vlatko's history seen through the prism of four renowned photographers - Stefan Rajhl, Angel Sitnovski, Ognen Acevski and Nemanja Gjorgjevikj, which also showcases archives collected by music historian Tosho Filipovski and Vladimir Manhevski - Mande. The Legendary loudspeakers by Teoharov Audio, designed together with Vlatko, will be also displayed," festival organizers say.

The festival also features screenings, taking place on July 1-4 at the Cinematheque, which begin with "Carlos", a film about cult guitarist Carlos Santana. "Let's Get Lost" about jazz trumpeter Chet Baker and "Joe Strummer: The Future is Unwritten" will be screened on the second day.

With the festival's country in focus being Poland, two films by Grzegorz Brzozowicz, who is also a guest at the festival, will be shown.

Skopje Cinema City will also present the lifetime achievement award to Polish film score composer Zbigniew Preisner.
