‘Makpetrol’ only company to submit November gas offer, 2-3 others to submit bids by week-end
Skopje, 17 October 2022 (MIA) – The offers for procurement of the required gas quantities for November are expected in the course of the week. Only “Makpetrol” has submitted an offer until now but 2-3 other companies are expected to do the same, said Power Plants of North Macedonia (ESM) director Vasko Kovachevski on Monday. “The quantities will cover the needs of the heating plants and cogeneration plant TE-TO, so that it produces electricity and heating energy that will meet 60 percent of the Skopje demand,” Kovachevski told reporters. The Government says that the energy resource is purchased on a monthly basis but an agreement could be concluded if there is a fixed-price offer for six months. The gas companies that VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski referred to and with which Economy Minister Kreshnik Bekteshi met recently in Belgrade have not submitted any offers until now. These are companies “PGO” and one from Republic of Srpska.
