Şahterm to lay foundation stone of factory in Skopje's free zones

Skopje, 17 May 2025 (MIA) — The Turkish company Şahterm will hold a foundation stone laying ceremony for its new factory at the free industrial development zones, with Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski attending.
According to the deal signed between Şahterm and the Free Zones Authority, the investment is worth 100 million euros. It will be Şahterm's first factory opened outside of Turkiye.
The manufacturing plant will be built on over 13,000 square meters and will employ 1,000 people, making a significant contribution to the local economy. The project also includes the opening of a development center.
Şahterm manufactures a diverse range of heating elements for home appliances by makers including Whirlpool, Gorenje, Beko, Candy and Amica. mr/
