Belgrade, 27 July 2022 (MIA) – The president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia (CCIS), Marko Čadež said Wednesday that the Open Balkan member countries have agreed not to impose a ban on the sale of flour, sugar, cooking oil and basic food products between Serbia, Albania and North Macedonia, reports MIA’s Belgrade correspondent. “We made an agreement, which is now being drafted and will be signed in Belgrade at the next summit in September, and it stipulates that within Open Balkan there will be no bans on trade in flour, sugar and basic food products, that we will target the storage and production capacities in all three countries, in order to define the readiness for the free flow of goods,” Čadež told RTS. He said that this agreement will encourage businessmen to make long-term agreements because they have the state’s word that there will be no interruptions, and there is also the provision banning reexport in order to prevent manipulations. Čadež added that the taxes and fees for import and export with Albania are being abolished. ad/ba/
