Ohrid, 12 August 2024 (MIA) — Zharko Basheski's sculpture exhibition "Ecce Homo Macedonicus: the Eighth Wonder of the World" will open Monday evening at the Urania House in Ohrid and run through Aug. 27.
On display will be a dozen sculptures and a large-scale conceptual art project made of bronze and steel, MIA's Ohrid correspondent writes.
The project was developed with Jordan Plevnesh, the author of the shortest novel in world history, "The Eighth Wonder of the World," with Basheski recreating his "Ordinary Man" sculpture in a different medium, organizers said.
The idea of the project is to place "a huge bronze sculpture on Galichica mountain, at a location where both lakes, Ohrid and Prespa, can be seen from," organizers note. mr/
