Zaev-Orian: Israel supports North Macedonia’s progress, there’s interest for intensifying cooperation
Skopje, 19 July 2021 (MIA) – Prime Minister Zoran Zaev met on Monday with outgoing Israeli Ambassador Dan Orian. During the meeting, the government said in a press release, they discussed friendly bilateral relations, underlining their development as well as potential for further advancement. PM Zaev thanked Ambassador Orian for Israel’s continued support for North Macedonia in multiple areas and stressed the importance of sharing experiences regarding startup enterprises and innovation as opportunities for economic development. Interlocutors also discussed North Macedonia’s prospects for economic development through tourism, having in mind the country’s rich cultural and historical heritage. In that regard, they pointed out young Israeli people’s interest in visiting North Macedonia. Moreover, they stressed Israel’s support for North Macedonia’s progress, both at home and on international level. “We appreciate Israel’s friendship and assistance and continue to build relations in areas of economy, culture, education, social policies. At the same time, our efforts within the EU integration process show we’re committed to creating new jobs and improving the living standard,” Prime Minister Zaev said.
