Skopje, 16 April 2023 (MIA) — Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi wished happy Easter to all Orthodox believers.

"This year, our holidays coincided or alternated, which inspired in each of us festive feelings of encouragement and hope for a better tomorrow.

"We fasted together, although in a different way and for different lenghts of time. We shared iftar meals together, cherishing customs and traditions as we have before and we will in the future, I am sure. This is the only way we show in deeds that we can starve together and eat together, laugh and share the hardships humanity is going through," Xhaferi said.

"Now, more than ever, we need words of hope, faith, mutual respect and understanding, solidarity, humanity, sacrifice and togetherness. Now, more than ever, the world needs us to be better people for ourselves, for our fellow citizens and for our country," he added. mr/
