Xhaferi - Adamová: Czech Republic is a strong supporter of North Macedonia’s European integration
Skopje, 24 October 2022 (MIA) – The Czech Republic is a strong supporter of the EU integration of North Macedonia, not only in words but also in deeds, Speaker of the Czech Chamber of Deputies Markéta Pekarová Adamová told Monday’s meeting with Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi.
Xhaferi stressed the excellent and intense cooperation between the two countries at all levels and expressed his gratitude for the overall help and support in the context of the country’s Euro-Atlantic integrations.
“I’m convinced that your support and friendly cooperation towards our country will continue with the same intensity,” Xhaferi said, as cited in a press release after the meeting.
Xhaferi also welcomed the setting up of the Czech Parliamentary Group for cooperation with North Macedonia’s Parliament and expressed his personal belief that parliamentary cooperation will continue to develop further with increased dynamics.
Speaker of the Czech Chamber of Deputies Markéta Pekarová Adamová pointed out that the Czech Republic is a strong supporter of the country’s EU integration, not only in words but also in deeds, highlighting the excellent parliamentary cooperation and voicing readiness to continue deepening mutual cooperation in all areas.
“We are aware that your path to the EU is difficult, but at the same time we are proud and support your optimism and willingness to succeed on this path,” stressed Adamova. Also, on behalf of her country, she thanked Xhaferi for the participation in the joint military assistance to Ukraine, as allies in NATO.
Interlocutors agreed that intensive political cooperation will further continue in the coming period, reads the press release.
