Geneva, 16 March 2025 (MIA) - Deeply saddened by the tragic nightclub fire in Kochani, World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Director for Europe Hans Kluge wrote in an X post.

"My heartfelt sympathies to the families who lost loved ones and those injured. Profound gratitude to the first responders, medical teams, and rescue workers who acted swiftly and tirelessly to save lives and provide care under such difficult circumstances," says Kluge.

"In this heartbreaking moment, WHO Europe and WHO North Macedonia stand with North Macedonia’s dedicated health and care workers, ready to provide urgent medical and mental health support," adds Kluge.
