Watching very closely procedures in Parliament, says U.S. Ambassador Aggeler

Skopje, 13 March 2025 (MIA) - We are watching very closely the procedures in Parliament and their statements, said United States Ambassador Angela Aggeler on the no-confidence motions adopted by lawmakers for five members of the Judicial Council.

"We are watching very closely the procedures in Parliament and their statements. As with any of these cases, what is critically important is that the law is followed and it is followed in a way that is clear and transparent to all of those observing it," Ambassador Aggeler told reporters on Thursday.

Regarding the rejected visa application of Minister of Social Policy, Demography and Youth Fatmir Limani, Ambassador Aggeler said the United States has very strict laws about discussing visa issues.

"We have very strict privacy laws in the United States and I cannot discuss any visa issues on any individuals. I would refer you to the minister to discuss what occured, but I will also simply say that with any applicant for a U.S. visa, the process is explained to the individual and if there is any additional follow-up, that is explained as well," said Aggeler.
