Ohrid, 19 March 2023 (MIA) — We made some good progress in a constructive atmosphere and we will start working on things; it wasn't D-Day, but it was a good day, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said late Saturday night after the 12-hour meeting held in Ohrid as part of the EU-facilitated Belgrade–Prishtina Dialogue to normalize relations between Serbia and Kosovo.
He said several things were agreed on and would become part of the EU negotiation framework for both countries. An important point for the Serbian side, he said, was that Kosovo agreed to let Serbian municipalities of Kosovo form their own community.
“I think we both made it clear what our red lines are,” Vucic noted, “but I think we made some good progress in a constructive atmosphere and we will start working on things.”
He said he would present the implementation plan to Serbia’s public on Sunday and start holding consultations with parliamentary groups on Monday. mr/
