Vučić extends condolences to Siljanovska Davkova over Kochani tragedy, to send helicopters and medical staff

Belgrade, 16 March 2025 (MIA) - Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has extended condolences to President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova over the deadly fire in the Kochani nightclub. 

"I expressed my sincere condolences to President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova after the terrible tragedy in North Macedonia, which deeply affected not only the people in that country but also all of us in Serbia, who stand in solidarity with the families of the victims and the entire people of this brotherly nation," Vučić posted on Instagram.

"On behalf of Serbia, I offered to send helicopters, other medical transport, medical staff, as well as to admit to hospitals in Serbia a large number of the injured in the Kochani tragedy. President Siljanovska Davkova accepted," he added.

In the Instagram post, the Serbian President also stated "I informed the President that Serbia will declare March 18 a national day of mourning for the tragedy and expressed confidence that the people of brotherly North Macedonia, with the strength and solidarity they have always shown, will overcome this great tragedy and find a way to recover."
