VIS Biljana ensemble to perform at Public Room

Skopje, 30 March 2024 (MIA) – Skopje's Public Room is hosting as part of World Music Saturday a concert performance by the ensemble VIS Biljana.
For fifteen years, the ensemble has been mapping the musical landscape, with the aim to preserve, perform and present the cultural tradition of Ohrid and the country, through song and dance.
The first lineup of VIS Biljana was formed in June 1952 in Ohrid by Kuzman Pop-Stefanija including his friends Tomcho Lukan, Mile Trendafolov and Garip Ramadan.
In 2009, Kuzman Pop-Stefanija, together with his grandsons Jovan and Dimitar Pop-Stefanija, reformed the ensemble under his mentoring which lasted until his death in 2013. The current lineup of the ensmble includes Jovan Pop-Stefanija, Angel Trajkovski, Hristijan Tomevski and Andrej Labroski. Angel Dulevski, Petar Paskali, Stefan Zdravevski and Viktor Jolakovski have been performing with the ensemble as well.
