Skopje, 25 September 2023 (MIA) - Vermont National Guard Adjutant General, Major-General Gregory Knight, is paying an official visit to North Macedonia on Monday.

Adjutant General Knight is set to hold a meeting with Defence Minister Slavjanka Petrovska, followed by a joint press conference, the Ministry of Defence said in a press release.

"This year marks the 30th anniversary of the partnership between the Army of the Republic of North Macedonia and the Vermont National Guard. Members of the Macedonian Army and the Vermont National Guard have conducted numerous joint trainings, with the participation of more than 1,800 Army members so far," reads the press release.

In 2012, the press release adds, the President of North Macedonia awarded Vermont National Guard with the highest military decoration, the Military Order of Merit, promoting relations, cooperation and major achievements.
