Washington, 3 February 2023 (dpa/MIA) - The US Defense Department announced a new aid package for Ukraine worth about $2.2 billion, Defense Department spokesperson Pat Ryder said on Friday.

This brings the total US aid provided or pledged to Ukraine since Russia invaded it nearly a year ago to about $29.3 billion.

The new package includes air defence capabilities, armoured vehicles and other equipment, Ryder said.
