Washington, 19 October 2023 (MIA) – The U.S. State Department issued on Thursday a worldwide security alert for its citizens oversees due to increased tensions around the world. 

"Due to increased tensions in various locations around the world, the potential for terrorist attacks, demonstrations or violent actions against U.S. citizens and interests, the Department of State advises U.S. citizens overseas to exercise increased caution," said the State Department. 

The State Department notes that U.S. citizens should stay alert in locations frequented by tourists and enroll to receive information and alerts.
