Skopje, 7 June 2024 (MIA) - The unemployment rate in the Republic of North Macedonia in the first quarter (Q1) of 2024 was 12.9 percent, said the State Statistical Office on Friday.

In Q1, the labour force in the Republic of North Macedonia numbered 788,909 persons, of whom 687,351 were employed, while 101,558 were unemployed persons.

The activity rate in this period was 52.1 percent, while the employment rate was 45.4 percent.
