Two flights cancelled at Skopje Airport due to fog

Skopje, 4 January 2023 (MIA) – Two flights were cancelled at the Skopje International Airport from 8 am to 11:30 am on Wednesday, due to thick causing low visibility, said TAV Macedonia.  

The airport operator added that weather conditions are expected to improve in the afternoon.  

Passengers are advised to check the www.skp.airports.com.mk website, where any changes to flight Departures/Arrivals are updated in real time.

Due to a thick fog reducing visibility in the Skopje valley, several flights were cancelled or rerouted in the past few days.  

According to the Auto-Moto Association of Macedonia (AMSM), visibility is low on several roads across the country on Wednesday due to fog, including Bitola-Prilep, Ohrid-Struga, Ohrid-Resen, Shtip-Radovish, Shtip-Negotino, Tetovo-Skopje, Kochani-Vinica, Skopje-Kumanovo, Hipodrom junction-Skopje ring road, Veles-Skopje, Skopje-Veles, Gradsko-Negotino, Makedonski Brod-Kichevo and Pletvar mountain slope.
