Tel Aviv, 7 June 2025 (dpa/MIA) - Palestinian medical sources and media have reported further deaths as a result of intensified Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.

According to medical sources on Saturday, at least 22 people were killed in the coastal area overnight. Dozens of people were injured.

The information could not initially be independently verified.

Palestinian news agency WAFA reported deaths in the areas around the southern cities of Khan Younis and Rafah, as well as in Gaza City further north.

There was initially no information from the Israeli army.

Three weeks ago, the Israeli army launched a major new offensive in the coastal strip, which has been devastated by over a year and a half of war.

Many deaths are reported every day.

Israel's declared aim is to completely destroy Hamas and free the hostages still being held. Israel's actions have been criticized internationally.
