Skopje, 15 June 2025 (MIA) - A total of 22 people have so far requested assistance to leave Israel and return to North Macedonia. This includes nationals of North Macedonia as well as members of their immediate families, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade said in a press release Sunday.
The Ministry said efforts are underway to ensure their evacuation and transfer to a safe location, from where further arrangements will be made for their return to the country.
“We note that the diplomatic-consular mission in Tel Aviv is in constant communication with our nationals, while the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade is actively working to ensure all necessary conditions for their safe return,” the Foreign Ministry said.

Due to the deteriorated security situation in the Middle East, earlier on Sunday the Ministry urged all nationals of North Macedonia currently in Israel and Iran to immediately contact the relevant institutions via emergency (SOS) lines, should they require consular assistance.
The Ministry also urged all nationals to refrain from traveling to the countries in the region until the security situation improves.
For help and assistance, nationals can contact the Embassy of the Republic of North Macedonia in Tel Aviv via phone numbers +972 54 500 8566 / +972 54 967 0546 or by email at telaviv@mfa.gov.mk.
Nationals can also contact the Ministry by calling +389 75 273 732 / +389 75 268 736 or by email at globalsos@mfa.gov.mk.
The Ministry said it has established a crisis HQ which is continuously monitoring the situation and is available 24 hours a day for any needs related to help, support, and assistance.
“We reiterate our call to our nationals located in the affected regions, should they require consular assistance, to contact the listed SOS numbers without delay,” the Ministry said.
