Turnout by 6:30 pm: 46.34% in presidential elections, 53.32% in parliamentary 

Skopje, 8 May 2024 (MIA) - North Macedonia’s presidential run-off saw a turnout of 46.34 percent by 6:30 pm, while 53.32 percent of registered voters turned out to vote at the parliamentary elections by 6:30 pm, according to data from the State Election Commission (SEC).

According to the SEC, Novaci registered the highest turnout in the presidential elections with 72.76 percent. Lipkovo has the lowest turnout at 7.35 percent.

Compared to the second round of the 2019 presidential elections' turnout increased by 1.84 percent, the Commission said.

“There’s a solid turnout, a solid figure. By 6:30 pm the percentage is 46.34 with 58 percent of data processed,” Dashtevski told TV Sitel.

In the parliamentary elections, Krivogashtani registered the highest turnout with 82.43 percent. Centar Zhupa has the lowest turnout - 18.62 percent.  

Turnout per election districts is as follows: 59.14 percent in the first election district; 48.61 percent in the second; 57.87 percent in the third; 57.49 percent in the fourth; 53.45 percent in the fifth, and 37.36 percent in the sixth electoral district.

The Commission said it has received a total of 490 complaints about people’s voting rights.

"Of these, 262 complaints have been approved and voters were enabled to exercise their right to vote, 33 complaints have been found inadmissible, and 88 complaints have been rejected. The remaining complaints are being processed," the SEC said.
