Washington, 20 September 2025 (dpa/MIA) - US President Donald Trump on Friday said that he will receive his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the White House next week.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump said he is looking forward to welcoming Erdoğan to Washington on Thursday.

"We are working on many Trade and Military Deals with the President, including the large scale purchase of Boeing aircraft, a major F-16 Deal, and a continuation of the F-35 talks, which we expect to conclude positively," he wrote.

"President Erdoğan and I have always had a very good relationship. I look forward to seeing him on the 25th!"

Trump hosted the Turkish president in the White House during his first term in office.

He did not specify whether the meeting would also include discussions on ending the Russian war against Ukraine.

NATO member Turkey maintains good relations with Russia and Ukraine, and earlier this year hosted the first direct talks between the two countries since 2022.
